My introduction to Peggy Rowe’s humor was by way of her audiobook, narrated on her son’s podcast. And reading this, I can hear her voice and the laughing was no less likely to make me hope I wasn’t going to pee myself. Rowe has a way of capturing humanity and weaving the highlights into the stories she tells, and it’s masterwork. Truly a delightful read.

Adorable. Loved it. Heartfelt. I got this book from a woman that knew I enjoyed reading and sports. She was/is like another mother to me in many ways and this was very much a thoughtful gift. The way I connect to the book is highlighted by the connection between mother and daughter in this book. The story telling is nostalgic in a way that shares memories between good friends.

Sweet stories from the mid century about a girl and her mom. Was a pleasure to read as I'm toward the end of raising girls (and boys).Reassuring that some things (arguments, worries) never change, others have been there too.

This is hands down the funniest book I've read. I bought it for my mom for Christmas and read it before her. I had to stifle my laughter so she would not ask me what was so funny! I'd recommend this memoir to anyone. Reading this you realize who Mike can thank for his sense of wit.
