While an important and interesting topic, at times it did feel like it was written by an over-enthusiastic 6-year old talking about his poop. Poor analogies and a relatively bad Slovenian translation (with some obvios cases of literal translations) made this for a poor read.
Книга, которую кажется будет полезно прочитать каждому. Базовая информация изложенная простым, увлекательным языком
As someone whose gut broke some years back and still seems to be on the mend, this book touched on multiple things that my old gastroenterologist brought to my attention. The parts I really enjoyed were the effects/outcomes of different bacteria in individuals and possible ways to help out the good bacteria in our microbiome.
I loved this book. Our bodies are incredible and the gut plays such a crucial role in our health. I appreciate my body and health so much after listening to this book
Unterhaltsam und gleichzeitig wahnsinnig lehrreich! Ich konnte viel nützes und unnützes Wissen mitnehmen und habe jetzt eine klareres Bild davon, was tagtäglich in unseren Körpern abgeht.

Excellent overview of our gut and the microbes that inhabit it written in an engaging style. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am so enamoured with this book. More and more research is being done on the subject of our gut bacteria, probiotics, microbes, and the microscopic cosmos that dwell within our intestinal tract. This book is easy to digest (I apologize profusely for the apt pun) and teeming with scientific data and research references. Enders makes it possible for readers to approach this fascinating subject in a calming, educational way that balances serenely and sweetly between the height of academia and leisure reading. Offering fair warning that we don’t know what a large portion of our gut bacteria does, Enders guides us effortlessly through the unknown in a way that makes uncertainty an exciting, and even welcome fact of life. Though I’m unfamiliar with other monographs on the subject, Gut appears to be the perfect starting point into the world of the stomach and the intestines.
Fascinating topic. I found her writing style too informal and didn't always appreciate her sense of humor, but I couldn't put the book down.
