It is hard to properly assess this book’s content; the material was so poorly cited throughout the book that it would be near-impossible to confirm some of the more unusual claims. Mix in subtle shaming of moms who deliver via C-section, hospital cleaning staff, and fat people, and the message gets so lost. And that’s before considering the writing style. The material was overly dumbed down to the level of a fart joke-obsessed second grader. I would not recommend this book to anyone I know looking for information on the subject.

Vittig, interessant og tankevekkende bok

It was my coffee table non-fiction read. Had some fascinating general information about how you're digestive system works. Really bought it for the chapter on brain-gut connection, wish there had been more of that.

Quick, fun and informative. A nice read.

Rating 3* out of 5. I'm not charmed. I found the writing childish with too many exclamation marks and didn't find things as funny as the author obviously did at times. I like the first 100 pages the best because of the numerous new things I learned, but the for the rest of the book I mostly just wished it would be over already. It's supposed to be fun and engaging and probably is to most people - to me it just fell a bit flat.

Interesting read. I have IBS and the book gave me a lot of helpful tips and a deeper understanding our this important organ.
