this book has me sobbing over my very late dinner (much like the other books i’ve read recently but i digress) this book came to me at the exact time i needed it, i loved the characters, i loved the plot. it honestly felt like magic and is one of my top books of all time

I loved this book!! The relationship between Iwan and Clementine was beautiful and their interactions witty and fun to read!! Highly recommend!!

Everything about the premises sounded like it would be a great story. It was, unfortunately, an unimaginative ride. The "Don't fall in love" rule being disproven is the point of the story. We know that's where it's going. It gets there. The rule is never proven to be useful. Instead, the aunt just withheld joy from herself for no reason and then offed herself. A very unnecessary tragecy within an otherwise story that could have been something.
