I absolutely HATED this book.
I only pushed through because it was my bookclub read.

Almost all of the named characters are queer??!? And the majority are PoC?!?!! That in and of itself is worth the read but it's also just a really good, well-written story. My only critique is that some parts feel a little rushed, but it doesn't detract from the story. If this weren't gay af it might be more bothersome but yes. This is a good book.

No era lo que esperaba, pero lo recomiendo si quieres leer algo ligero y tranquilo.
Es una temática que llama la atención, piratas, brujas, magia, sirenas, en muchas ocasiones se sentía como si estuviera dentro de ese mundo, pero en otras simplemente la autora no pude conectar bien las 3 partes de la historia, se sentían separadas entre sí.
Hace tiempo quería leer algo de esta temática y valió la pena, solo los argumentos de la historia se sentían flojos algunas veces.

A woman is about to get married to a man she hasn’t meet - how many books have this theme. This book just moved too slow, with a lot of detail. Plus add a lesbian & African american (did that really matter for this character?).
