i could never give this book anything less than perfection. even though it's not my favorite in the series the heart wants what it wants man. kristin never misses

i’m so disappointed i didn’t enjoy this. but i can say it was probably my own fault. i read the other books in this series 4 years ago so i don’t remember a whole lot. but i didn’t want to reread them lol so i just jumped into this one to finish the series. i probably would’ve enjoyed this more if i was more immersed in the world and everything. however, there were still things i didn’t like that made me not like this book that had nothing to do with the timing of which i read it. i didn’t like hava, and as a character driven reader, not liking the main character is detrimental to my enjoyment of a book. however there are some ways i can get around that, like if the plot is really interesting. but this one just… wasn’t. like nothing happened for a 600 page book???? i was so bored and the only thing that helped me get through was that the chapters were so short. it made it easier to read but it still took me forever to finish. i’m happy to be finished with this series but still upset that this one wasn’t as good to me as the others because i really enjoyed all the others. the ending was satisfying though, i liked the way everything wrapped up.

A really slow start to the book that almost made me DNF.
My love for the previous books in the series made me push through. Thankfully I did because the second half was much better. Hava's journey to understanding herself and coming to terms with her past brought me to tear in the end. While I enjoyed the second half of the book a lot more than the first, as a whole it was not as captivating as the previous instalments.
