I’ve read the original several times, and I think this is a pretty faithful adaptation. There were a couple unimportant bits that were taken out or changed, such as Bouc’s and the doctor’s thought processes while thinking about the solution to the crime. But in general everything was pretty much the same as the original book.

The only real point I would put against the graphic novel is that the art got a bit repetitive during questioning (and also that Bouc was eating a bagel instead of an omelet).

I was curious how this would translate to a graphic novel form, but I thought that it was a lot of fun. The visual format provided some fun ways to show and recap clues and provide information, and I appreciated the general structure of it. I did think that there was a lot of repetition as Poirot covered facts with each person he interviewed, but at the same time, it was designed to show us their reactions, so I'm not sure exactly how this could have been streamlined a bit. Overall, this was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed engaging with this story for the first time via graphic novel!
