3.5!!! Fun and icky and especially enjoyable as a former single screen movie theater employee lol
dark emotional mysterious fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

vile, disgusting, nauseating, nihilistic
i’m usually one for grimy filthy books but i couldn’t really enjoy this one that much because of the writing style, i found it to be too narrative that i was craving some palahniuk
if it ought to be conspicuously gross, it has to be executed inventively imo

good filler read. i wish it leaned more into the macabre

like some feverish mixture between the extra man and fight club with a dash of the secret hitory.
imperfect but dusty and oozing and an enrapturing read.

Glad this was a short book otherwise I would have dnf'd

This had creepy vibes and the unknown of whether the writing was a reflection on the main characters mind as it was getting more obscure as the book goes on.

I thought this was a nice gentle nod to the vintage cinemas and how they used to be rather than the corporate giants we see today.

Really unsure who this book is for.
