This book had a lot of potential, but it just didn’t quite live up to it. Noah came across as an asshole for the majority of the first half of the book. The way he immediately went on to sleep with another woman after his date with Maya felt off. To me, it seemed like he was acting out of spite because she rejected his offer of a no-strings-attached relationship. I also didn’t like how he went completely quiet after her rejection.

Overall, the story focused too much on the physical side of their relationship, with very little emotional connection between them.

This book does show how much Lauren Asher has grown as an author though. Her Dreamland Billionaires and Lakefront Billionaires series are so much better and more engaging than this one.

The first half of this book was just two people talking nonstop about how hot the other was. No brain cells just hot. It got better when some real chemistry kicked in but that couldn't save it from some cringy lines.

I ~will~ be reading book 2 because those characters seem fun.

I rated 2 stars but honestly it might be a 1.5 star. Multiple times I wanted to DNF it but pushed through hoping it’ll get better. It wasn’t what I was hoping but I think others will enjoy this book it wasn’t for me but I have high hopes
