Do I think it’s far fetched that a groups of 13 year olds would be the ones to blow a government conspiracy out of the water? Yes

Do I care? No

This was a solid little companion book to Alone

Having not read Alone before reading Away, I feel like a large portion of the story is missing - that was my fault, not the novel’s.

The writing and characters’ dialogue felt more mature than middle grade, but the story was immersive and enjoyable. Having listened to the audio version, it felt jarring as the narration moved from character to character, as the writing styles are incredibly different. Thankfully there were different narrators for each character that helped the flow.
