Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. This story was okay, I didn't really like the main characters and their chemistry just didn't hit the mark for me

Sweet and steamy, the seventh book in the Slayers Hockey series, is Liam and Stormy’s book, and it’s as charming and well written as I had hoped it would be. At the start, we quickly find out how these two find themselves in their current predicament of being married to one another without either of them actually knowing the other’s true identity. A chance run in a year after their original meeting brings them back into each other’s orbits, and from there the story really takes off. We find that they have their own reasons for wanting a fake but real marriage, and we see them go from being veritable strangers that are married to friends to so much more.

I love a romance with a fake relationship, but a romance with a fake but actually legal marriage is even better! There’s this constant feeling of will they or won’t they with pretty much everything surrounding their relationship, and it was interesting to see how it all played out. And the chemistry between Liam and Stormy is seriously good. I love when a couple fights their connection so vehemently but struggle to do so like these two do. It adds that level of angst that pushes the storyline forward appropriately.

Also, something I appreciate about this series is how we get these entertaining glimpses of the other characters that we’ve already met throughout the previous books. The other players add a depth to the story in that we get to see how they support whatever’s going on with the main characters (especially Liam). They provide the occasional comedic relief, too. I mean Boomer and Bowie? Yes, please. Those two are so funny together.

So, if you love hockey/sports romances as much as I do, then I absolutely recommend this book. It’s swoony and hot, and I couldn’t get enough. Bowie and Piper’s book is up next, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Dirty Groom is a marriage of convenience/fake marriage that wasn't really fake. Both the hero and heroine were hurt from past relationships, decided to get married in Las Vegas, and part for a year before he sees her on the streets on Chicago. Dirty Groom is the 7th book in the Slayers Hockey series. It's a solid edition to a solid sports romance series.

Not a fan of the married in vegas trope, but this was well done.

Stormy and Liam meet in Vegas after both experiencing some terrible relationships… and what better way to get over a bad relationship than to marry a stranger in Las Vegas?! When Liam wakes the next morning, Stormy is gone and all that’s left of their marriage is a quickly written prenup on a cocktail napkin. When they meet again a year later, can Stormy and Liam part ways without feelings or will they be draw together?

I loved Dirty Groom! Hockey romances are my favorite and Mira Lyn Kelly totally delivers! This book has so much spice, great side characters, and fun banter. I read Dirty Groom as a standalone and had no problem with understanding the story and dynamics of the characters. I did go back and read the rest of the series because I loved Mira Lyn Kelly’s hockey world so much!

Read if you love:
Sports romance/hockey romance
Fake dating
Marriage of convenience
Quality spice

Another enjoyable Slayers hockey romance from Mira Lyn Kelly. It’s a wake up married story with a we’ll sleep together for a while but no feelings will develop chaser. It’s light and fun with very likable main characters and a cast of fun secondary characters including hockey players from previous books. It was a nice mood lifter for me. 4.25 stars rounded to 4.

Dirty Groom is the seventh book in the Slayers Hockey series by the fabulous Mira Lyn Kelly. I love this series so hard! Mira always gives us the perfect mix of humor, sexiness, hockey and friendship. The writing is top-notch and the characters are sexy and fun! If you read Dirty Christmas, you got a glimpse of Diesel and Stormy. If you haven't, go and read that right now! You won't be sorry! I love nothing more than a grumpy sexy hero and Liam Diesel is the perfect one. Diesel and Stormy met at a bar in Vegas, both running from something. So what do you do when you swear off relationships? Get married of course. Then Diesel wakes up and she's gone. A year later he sees her and he really only wants one thing, a divorce. But sometimes you get what you need and not what you want! Stormy doesn't want to be divorced. There are worse things than staying married to the sexy hockey player. What's the harm as long as they're both on the same page? Right? Oh boy! I loved Diesel and Stormy so much! He is grumpy, but he's also sweet and Stormy is bad@ss. Together they made me laugh, had me cheering, and fanning myself! I loved getting to see my beloved Slayers players and I loved seeing more Noel! Overall, the series just keeps getting better and better! So much so that I can't even pick a favorite!
