This book literally gave me chills qhile i was reading it. Though the beginning was hard to get through (of course ive never been in her situation so i wouldnt be able to relate) but the second half of the book OMG it was AMAZING. It made me cry so bad and feel hope and despair and all the emotions i would definitely read it again and recommend it to some of my fellow readers :D

I am a big fan of Lisa Schroeder and she doesn't disappoint! Alice's journey is beautifully written and full of emotion. I loved her boyfriend Blaze, who is such a great example of an awesome boyfriend-I kind of had a book boy crush on him. I also liked the elements of Alice and her faith-it wasn't overt or anything, but it made Alice a more realistic. I did find myself wanting to yell at Alice for being so selfish at times, but that's what makes Lisa Schroeder such a great writer. Her characters are real, their relationships believable, and her writing flows. I still like I Heart You, You Haunt Me better, but if you liked that book or are a fan of novels in verse, give Far From You a try.

I loved this book. It was a quick read and, for how short it was, emotionally powerful. This book made me cry for several reasons. One of my favourite things about it was that the main character (Alice) decided that instead of blaming God for the horrible things that happened to her, she found strength in her faith and it carried her through no matter what happened. I find too often in our society that people do the opposite, and lose their faith when they really need it the most. That being said, it is not an in-your-face religious story, and I would strongly recommend this to anyone whether they were religious or not.

This book touches on several issues almost every teen goes through - family, friendship, romantic relationships, anger, sadness, loss, change - and deals with them in both negative and positive ways. It shows that yes these things will happen, you don't have to deal with them on your own, and you can get through it.

The prose is lovely! I definitely need to read Lisa Schroeder's other verse novels.

I really like Lisa Schroeder's books. Written in verse, they are a quick, bare bones read. But, the message is meaty. Her books make me happy.

Quite decent, but not as good as "Chasing Brooklyn"

Very touching book about a girl who is still grieving the loss of her mom to cancer, and not fitting in very well with her dad's new wife and new baby. But when Alice and her stepmother and stepsister become stranded in a snowstorm, they're all they've got to help each other survive. Lovely poems and heartfelt emotional scenes.

I forgot how much I love this author.
The story was a lot better than I thought it was going to be and I loved the ending.
