I really enjoyed this book. A 4 1/2 star might be more fitting but as I can’t do halves 5 has to be it. I always like a book that can me laugh out loud. In public. At the most inconvenient times. And I did this many times. Because I became invested in the characters and they were very real while living in a world far removed from my own. I ‘believed’ them. Their lives were messy, and dangerous, and lonely, but they were human and their reactions to situations were believable. And I think that makes a good story.

Gripping page turner? Oy, this book was dull. The only reason I kept reading it was because I'm travelling and it's what I have in my bag. There is way too much unnecessary detail. And the writing is simple. Which can have its place. But that combination = dull.

With so many other choices out there I'd give this one a pass if I could go back in time.

Also, when I purchased this book I was not aware the author also penned the Twilight series, which I have not read. I thought I'd add that detail as it seems to be a hot topic on GR. 😯

The book was a little slow to start, but once you hit page 100 or so you can't stop. I enjoyed The Host and this is a surprisingly good book nothing at all like the Twilight series! If you like a good spy thriller this book is for you.

I enjoyed reading it a lot. It was well written.

I liked The Host and Twilight books...and I like the wannabe spy vibe. But, I absolutely couldn't get into this. Granted I was listening on audible. Maybe it's just tough to listen to?!

Loved this book. I don't usually go for spy type stuff, but I really enjoyed this. Had me hooked after just a few chapters!

An amazing action packed novel that has nothing to envy from great books from the genre like Jason Bourne or Jack Ryan! Plot development, character progression, logical turn of events, real life consequences and resolutions. I could not praise this book enough!
