It could have been good, but it was too predictable.
Now that there’s been some time between when I read this story and when I’m posting a review, I can say that I did like it. It kept me entertained. But I was annoyed by the love-story. It was too predictable of a storyline. The characters fit really squarely into little stereotypical boxes.
That said, the story kept moving, rarely stalled. I was intrigued enough to want to know for sure how it ended, so that’s something.

Okay, so this was nothing like the Twilight series (that's a good thing) and it wasn't the Host either (which I loved and want a sequel!). Actually about a 3.75, rounded to a 4. It started slow, but the pace really picks up as you go along. My least favorite character was Danny, I felt he was just a bit too eager and needy. But I did like the storyline. Good read, now what about the sequel to the Host, Stephanie Meyer??

Too cheesy for me. If I read it during high school I probably would have liked it but I didn't like the romance between the main characters and I didn't really find the main character interesting. A lot of the story line and events seemed very far fetched. Not bad but I expected it to be a lot better

This was a really good read!
It comes across more in the genre of a Tom Clancy/Vince Flynn thriller, which is unexpected from a Stephenie Meyer novel, but I think she pulls it off remarkably well. I'd love to see more books of this genre from her.

The book starts off slow, starting off with so much detail conveying how thorough and detailed the main character is. It wasn't until about a eighth of the way through that I fully understood what was going on. After I understood the who, what, where, when and why of the book, did I begin to fully understand and enjoy the book. In the end it, was a delight to read and hard to put down.
