Not what I expected
It was a good read, very different from SM previous books. Story was good, but I just expected more and I am not sure what more would include. I felt it didn't connect.

I enjoyed this book. Not crazy about rooting for a torturer. Her romantic partner can be hard to believe.

It started slow and I didn't mind because it allowed me to get into Juliana's (or Alex's) mind, her paranoia and the reasons why she was on the run and had built those thick emotional walls around herself to keep alive and sane enough to live another day. Soon my heart started to race and it didn't stop but for a few pages until the very end. This book had everything: action, heartbreak, humour, tender moments and boy did it keep me guessing! I even suspected the dogs! I wanted to hug Daniel and tell him that everything was going to be okay. Kevin amused me and Val surprised me. Love me some political conspiracy and Ms Meyer didn't disappoint.
