Light and funny. A great remedy for World War Z. A classic and I love the illustrations.

Very fun for early readers. There are mildly racist depictions of "Islanders" in this one, as it's an adaptation of all three novels including Pippi in the South Seas. If your kids are reading this alone, I'd recommend talking with them for a bit about it.

I read this one (again? I’m not sure if I read it as a kid!) because of the book I read from Denmark. This Swedish author entertained with stories like Amelia Bedelia or Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, and nothing was off the table for Pippi.

Sutton foster narrating is impeccable. A new favorite book. Made David miss multiple exits; whole family declaring adoration and screamed “noooo” when it ended

Kirjoitan tällä hetkellä esseetä lastenkulttuurista, jossa halusin hyödyntää Astrid Lindgrenin luomia tyttöhahmoja. Peppi Pitkätossu on tietenkin heistä ikonisin.

A very fun, nostalgic read.

I always used to watch the 1988 version on video whenever I went to visit my grandma. I'd watch it again and again, I absolutely loved it!

I was gifted this as a child but never read it. It was very different to the film and I think if I had read this before the seeing the film, I would dislike the film. But I watched the film around the age of 5 and grew up with it, so I hold it close to my heart.

The story was just as enjoyable! I also loved Lauren Child's illustrations and they also brought back a lot of nostalgia, as I grew up watching Charlie and Lola and reading Clarice Bean and her other picture books.
