On Pippi Longstocking:
Child me: Pippi is hilarious and wonderful and deserves all the stars!
Adult me: This child is an idiot, and possibly a sociopath.

I loved this book as a kid. And I think kids will probably still find it delightful. But reading it as a grownup was kind of rough, because Pippi Longstocking is an extremely irritating child.
