A collection of horror stories about sinister vacations written for older teens. My personal fave: Libba Bray's "Nowhere is Safe."
I liked this collection of short stories. Some I thought were a little weaker than others, but overall I pretty much enjoyed them all. Cruisin is short and clever, however a little too rushed. I really enjoyed I Don't Like Your Girlfriend. I would definitely love to revisit Cecily's world. The Law of Suspects was interesting and creepy but a little confusing. The Mirror House was my favorite, I loved the ending and felt Ms. Clare did a fantastic job of creating such a rich world and a complete story with so little telling. I wasn't sure about Nowhere is Safe at first, but ended up liking it.
While I didn't like this set of short stories as much as Love is Hell I think if you are into YA and enjoy a creepy tale you will probably find something to like about this group of stories. They won't blow you away, but they will entertain you.

Overall, this was a fun and quick read. Nothing too heavy, but still entertaining and not too light. The stories got progressively better for the most part as the book went on I think. All had interesting endings, and all were short and sweet!
My favorite, by a long shot was "The Law of Suspects" by Maureen Johnson, I adored it. (And it was the only one that also really creeped me out.) It was wacky and funny, but it was also scary (like "Cabin in the Woods", a nice mixture.)
I'm a fan of Cassandra Clare, but jeez, at this point, I'm really, really hoping she doesn't have any brothers in any sense of the word, because life would be real awkward for them after her obsessions with them.
I guess that's it, but I'd highly recommend this when you're feeling you need a bit of a lighter read.

My 3-starred review is really only because I don't go for short stories.

so another collection of short stories by some very popular teen authors...overall i wasn't impressed...cool part - one of the stories was told from the first person male perspective...don't get that a lot in the paranormal i've recently read but overall the stories were just ok...
