more cohesion than the sequel and an interesting story for the main character, a cozy and quick read that also makes one reflect and think

“I think the power of books is that - that they teach us to care about others. It's a
power that gives people courage and also
supports them in turn… Empathy,
that's the power of books.”

If you like books and they have had a positive impact on your life - I’m going to suggest that you read this book. Tiger was harsh but showed up at the perfect time, and reading this with my own cat on my chest proved to be such a beautiful experience.

Books are magical and so often we get swept up in the day to day - in the trials and the challenges and we forget what it is that makes us feel such joy. In august, I finished one book. And I have felt so ashamed because I know that I love to read and that it is such an escape and a comfort to me and for a whole month I struggled with it. And so when my dad gave me this book for my birthday, I knew I had to read it. In many ways, the cat and Rintaro saved my reading, too. It’s so easy to get consumed by comparisons and your aspirations and reading this book really snapped me out of a cycle and set me back on my path. Sometimes we just need to be reminded of what we know and what we have within us when we are faced with challenges.
