As much as I liked It ends with us, this book sadly fell flat for me. The relationship between Miles and Tate felt very repetitive and at about 50% of the book the only thing I was really looking forward to was Miles and Rachel’s story.
The end felt rushed, Miles got over his problems way too easily and jumped from not wanting any relationship to getting married too fast.
I liked the way the flashbacks had a different format and that at the end of the book, the present started using the same format, indicating that Miles was finally accepting the love the same way he did with Rachel in the past.
I believe this book should have some content warnings though. Some parts were very dark and could potentially be triggering.

It started out pretty cringy and read slightly like a bad fanfic but around half way through I found myself a lot more entertained by the book.
Coming from a younger sister, Corbin got on my nerves so much.

Someone explain to me how this woman can elicit every single feeling inside of me?? Another fantastic book by Colleen Hoover. I will read anything this lady writes. I listened on audio and did not want to stop at any single point. Her writing is addicting and her characters are so real and relatable, in my opinion. I could drone on and on about how much I love this book, so I’ll just say if you want a good romance and a good cry, pick this up. You won’t be disappointed.

(SPOILERS !!)

Okay... so... the first like 70% of this book was... not good. sorry. But so much of it was just sex and the story wasn't progressing at all, we weren't learning anything about Miles' character and I was more interested in the Rachel storyline than the Tate one. I really really hated Miles throughout most of this book. He had no respect for Tate, he was rude asf, and he literally sexual abused her multiple times??? I didn't feel the chemistry between them, their dynamic was fucking strange. Did I cry for an hour straight reading this book? Yes, I did. Did I internally scream when Rachel revealed the name of her daughter? Yes, I did. Loved the ending but I can't get over Miles' character in the beginning bc it was incredibly strange and gross and misogynistic and IK ITS BC HE HAS TRAUMA but I can't get over it - he had no respect for Tate and I constantly felt like he was exploiting her for sex? bc he was. However, I gave it 4.25 stars bc I really liked the ending and Miles getting his closure. Okay.

xoxo, gossip girl.

I really really loved miles development but I still really hated Miles. I understand why he was as shitty cause of the twist but I feel like it's not much of an excuse.

This book made me cry. Any book that makes me feel such strong emotions is an automatic 5 star! I loved this book; felt so many emotions throughout this book but the last 100 pages had me in bits. I like Colleen Hoover's writing style - easy to read and the chapters aren't excessively long. Liked that the story bounced between past and present timelines in alternate chapters and that they were from different characters points of view. I also liked the way that the paragraph structure changes when Miles is talking and feeling emotions. The poetry structure I especially liked and thought it was a nice touch.
