I had given this book to my husband as a gift because he enjoys topics like this. I was in-between books and thought I'd give it a try. Parts of it were interesting or funny, but overall this was not the kind of book for me. It was very science-focused which is not my strong suit. But because the chapters are relatively short, it was one that I could read a bit of, then read something different for a while before returning to it.

Very quick, fun read.

This book was very amusing. It was silly and scientific and kept me guessing what they would come up with next! There were parts that I kind of zoned out on, bringing me back to my physics classes of undergrad. But overall the narration kept me wide awake and entertained.

This was fun and extremely silly. The answers are well written, although I kind of wish there were answers to some of the disturbing questions from the inbox as well! I laughed out loud many times while I was reading this, forcing me to try to explain to my 7 year old why I was laughing at the Netherlands conquering the world as the oceans are drained away.

Fun, irreverent, and still decently educational, this is easy to read in short chunks (perfect if you happen to be visiting people in the hospital frequently, or similar). There isn't a deeper thesis than what is set out in the introduction, but you'll learn some neat information about our world and why it's probably a good thing that the laws of physics operate the way they do. If you like XKCD, you'll enjoy this too.

Such a fun book to hypothesize absurd thoughts
