-this book was gooooood! Loved the storyline, it had depth and a heartfelt storyline

Avery is the queen of hockey romance and this one did not disappoint! This book was so good that I flew through it. There’s a lot of hockey books where you never actually see the game aspect or the terminology does not make sense but not in Avery’s books!!! She knows her hockey! I loved both Ty and Sera so much. Can’t wait for more books in this series.

absolutely loved Tyler and Sera, the man is whipped, and if you have a praise kink and like a man with a dirty mouth, this one’s for you

I also really enjoyed how much hockey is actually in this book - I’m not an expert so I can’t speak to how accurate it is but I enjoyed reading about Tyler’s experiences, the worries, the pressure he feels being a goalie (also super cool since most hockey romances focus on other positions) and the draft

as much as i loved this book, i wish i hadn’t read the epilogue, and honestly i didn’t even finish reading the bonus chapters. Sera spends most of the book thinking about how she hadn’t even started thinking about kids yet and how, if she needs to have surgery at 35 she might need to get pregnant sooner than expected, and then gets pregnant only a few years later at 23. in bonus chapter #1 she’s pregnant AGAIN, and the rest of the bonus chapters focus on pregnancy and motherhood. don’t get me wrong, i love a pregnancy trope when it fits (AKA the characters talk about wanting that and then it happens towards the end or in the epilogue), but this was so unnecessary, it didn’t fit well with the story, and frankly the author could have done the epilogue about their life together (no kids yet), or many many years later getting pregnant before her surgery OR having the surgery and choosing to adopt
