I can understand why people didn't like this book. It's really, really hard to read. I think it's difficult to be a teenager. You don't always make good choices, especially when emotions are involved. What I liked about this book was that it explored the double standard between boys and girls and sex. It showed how life can be really messy sometimes. There was no way this book was going to end well, but I think it resolved in a healthy way for everyone.

I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. The major thing keeping the protagonist at odds with the two boys is something I don’t really see happening in real life, otherwise the writing was sooo good, the story was excellent (except for the one unbelievable moment, in my opinion, but I get that it was necessary to make the book work), I loved the character development. Overall excellent read if you like YA.

I started this at 10 pm and read until it into the early morning. I kept telling myself I would stop after the next chapter, but I just couldn't let it go and I finished it around 2am.

This is a great YA romance with angst and drama and a main character that really grows through the story line. There are times that Molly experiences rejection that would send most young woman into a deep depression. I kept thinking that if I were Molly, I'd probably hide away. But she perseveres and gets on with living her life as the Donnelly siblings invade her life, consume her every thought - and her heart. What I thought I wanted for her, well, I kept changing my mind...turns out they boys aren't who you think. The heart is a fickle thing after all.

The writing is impeccable and the complicated relationship dynamics are wonderfully portrayed. 5 stars and YA recommendation!

2/5 stars. This is why I loathe love triangles. I felt like none of the issues were resolved at the end. The main character didn't seem to learn anything from her first mistake and fell into a routine of hurting other people. This book was just not my cup of tea.

what the hell was that

Cover Love:
Yes, I do like this cover. It tells a story itself. Eye catching!

Why I Wanted to Read This:
The synopsis intrigued me. It really leaves you guessing--what happened? Why was Patrick home? Will things work out?

Romance?: Yes. Molly is one lucky girl--two gorgeous, kind brothers who are in love with her.

My Thoughts:
After I was a few pages into this I looked it up on GoodReads and read a few reviews. A lot of them really blasted Molly for being a cheater and how could they root for a cheater. The thing about that is, it's not that clear because Patrick was being an ass and had just broken up with her before her "alleged" cheating. I know, semantics.

Also not finishing this one the main character is just too horrible and makes the same mistakes over and over(only bought this book because it was pretty anyways)

I don't know that I've ever disliked so many characters in a book. For the first third of the book, I legitimately felt sorry for Molly and all the crap that she was having to deal with. But then, she went and made the same freaking mistake. And of course, because she was a female, she was labeled a skank, slut and whore but yet, no one was attacking the guys. The end of the book seemed a bit rushed to tie up loose ends. Not one of the characters seemed to learn from their mistakes. They were all just dreadfully horrible people who remained that way.

Molly is appalling. Literally. And I understand the idea that it's a double standard - can't act like it's just the girl's fault. But she is a BAD PERSON. She doesn't make a mistake. She makes a series of appallingly awful choices that she is aware are bad and she continues to repeat anyway as if she can't stop herself. No. Not okay.

And Patrick is a whiny, bad boyfriend in every respect, in regard to everyone he's with.

And beyond all the horrific characters, the plot is strange and sometimes days end just when a situation seems like it might be interesting.

This book wasn't okay. NOT OKAY.

DID NOT FINISH: 28%

It’s the second time I’ve tried to read this book. And though I got further than the first time round the characters were too unlikeable for me to want to keep reading!!
