I remember reading this a couple of years ago and falling in love with the story and characters so I decided to read it again and was completely disappointed. It was very hard to enjoy when I simply didn't enjoy the narrator. The main character is selfish and reckless and I have completely changed my opinion on this one.

Meh. Okay, so I feel completely duped by the cover of this book, because I was expecting something lighthearted and fun, and this book was just all ANGSTY! Plus I read it right around the same time as "The Summer I turned Pretty", which has a similar premise (girl falling for brothers) but was way more fun. Plus I didn't really love any of the characters here. Gabe was okay, but probably my faves were Tess and Imogen, and they were barely supporting characters. Molly, I felt bad for her, but she just kept making these colossal mistakes, I really wanted to bitch slap her. And Patrick? Whatever. Didn't like him at all. Plus it seemed to drag at times. I kept flipping ahead, skimming to get to the good parts. Anyway, good but not fantastic. Moving on now!
Okay first of all, I can't say this is a romance book. Character trying too hard to have a harmonious romantic relationship with her ex's brother. Very slow-paced and boring. No wonder it took me ten days to finish. Senseless plot. Seriously? Trying to fix everything in one summer but fails so everything is damn messed up again then in the end just runs away? Without improvement? Nope, ain't gonna work for me. Annoying characters. Ugh, if I could I would have screamed at this book. I have never been this angry at a book. Totally dislike, but the cover is pretty.

I will say it was fairly well written but I hated every character in the story
