Linda listen I went in thinking I was getting a fluffy read. Uh no!! The spice was there!!! Cute story! Loved it. If Mr Steal Yo Girl was a person it would be Creed!!! Narrators were good too!

This book gave me all the feels! Some may say it was wrong for the way that the FMC and MMC got together in the story, but I was here for it all. Sometimes life puts love in front of you without you seeking it and that’s when you know it is meant to be. This story was a classic example of you don’t know what you needed until you have it.
I loved the undercover spicy scenes in this story. Judging by the cover, you would not know that all of this is going on, but I absolutely loved it. Nakyra stole my heart, and she was such a genuine and caring person. All she needed was the right man to come along! Creed definitely gave “my man my man my man” vibes and he has officially made the book bae list. Really good narration in the audiobook, I always enjoy dual narration for male and female characters.
Overall, a much loved and well recommended read. Tay Mo’Nae has yet to disappoint me. Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advanced listening copy.

This was my first read by Tay Mo'Nae, and I really enjoyed it. Nakyra and Creed’s story was sweet, emotional, and full of passion. Was it extra messy? It sure was, and I loved every second of it. Nakyra and Creed were perfect for each other. Creed saw her for who she was and truly wanted her to have the best. I loved that he learned ASL to make communication more comfortable for her. That gesture alone had me melting. The development of their relationship was so satisfying. Their forbidden romance was a delicious slow burn that began with them building a friendship. I loved witnessing them get closer and trust each other more. Creed fully supported Nakyra, stood up for her, and made her feel valued. He also brought the spice! The steamy scenes did not disappoint! Nakyra got stronger throughout the story, and with Creed by her side, she learned to believe in herself again and discovered what real love feels like. Creed was the man Nakyra deserved, and I loved that she got her happy ending with someone dedicated to treating her right.
