The peppy tone got on my nerves at times, but you cannot deny that this book is chock-full of useful information!

This book has a lot of information in it, like what happens to your body when you eat, what glycemic index is, why pH is important, etc. I think it's like every diet book-pick and choose what fits your life. I'm not going to test my pee for pH, or get colonics, or even go vegetarian. But I appreciate the clear explanations and good layout of the book.

Am I going to run out, buy a juicer, and start pH testing my urine? Probably not. Do I feel super positive and inspired to take excellent care of myself? Certainly. Do I have a huge crush on Kris Carr? You'd better believe it. Four stars because even the bits that made me go, "WTF?!" left me with a smile on my face.

Also, I want to eat all of the food in this book. The salad dressing recipes alone will keep me busy for weeks.

I did it, you guys. I actually read a book called "Crazy Sexy Diet". HOWEVER, this book was pretty much amazing. I really appreciated Carr's accessibility when discussing alkaline/acidity and ph levels when discussing our food choices. I have been opting for a 70/30 balance since last week and can dramatically feel the difference in my body and my mood. Also, as cliche and weird as they can be, I really appreciated the affirmations and the intense discussion of self care/meditation that come with the urgency to change our diets so we can change ourselves and thus the planet.

I was embarrassed to carry this book on the train (because of the title) but I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in nutrition and feeling better, holistically.

A lot of great information, but unfortunately for me, it was somewhat overshadow by the enema/colonic recommendations and some other silliness. Also, her peppy tone and odd wording is probably something you either love or hate.

Man. This book was not what I thought it would be.

As someone who has worked really hard on cleaning up my diet while also working on moderation and getting away from crazy restrictive dieting, I pretty much resented her tone throughout this entire book. I agree with many of the other low reviews here. I thought Kris Carr came off judgmental, harsh and bossy. I thought her repeated references to "fat ass" and "dimply thighs" bordered on body-shaming. Who reads diet books? Generally, people who are uncomfortable with their bodies.

I don't know... I could spend a really long time writing a review, but I don't see the point. It sounded awesome, but fell very flat for me.

A fantastic book which not only tell you about how you should eat to feel your best, but also the facts behind it. Kris Carr is a really good motivator and you feel encuraged to change your diet after reading this book. Easy step-by-step how to do it and amazing info about all the hidden things we are exposed to in our daily life.

A real eye opener! Warmly recommended.

Very inspirational and I loved it. It managed to get my sedentary behind off the couch and invest in a Breville juicer, at least! I have yet to do the 21-day adventure cleanse, but I plan to. It looks like fun. The language is very easy to understand and makes science very entertaining for those who may not be interested at all. I'm already vegan and have been toying around with introducing more raw food to my diet, but if you aren't vegan this may prompt you to give it a go. The lingo she uses is a little cringe worthy ("God pod", for example), but other than that everything was great.

I can't say that I'll follow all of Kris Carr's words of wisdom, but gosh darn it, she sure is motivating! I'm having a seriously hard time creating my grocery list right now. I want to write down all the normal sale foods, but my brain is screaming, "That's not good for you!" My only wish for this book would be more recipes.
