The fact that it took me three years to finish doesn’t mean it’s bad - quite the opposite: I didn’t want it to end! I could have soaked it all up in an afternoon but I wanted it to last.
It’s short stories, told in graphic novel form, about women throughout history who did whatever they wanted to, no matter what other people said. The drawings are full of life, humour and charisma and I strongly urge everyone to read it! It’s feminist, incredibly diversified, and full to the brim of fighting spirit

Better than your average 'strong women' book. To me it felt like more of a 'these people did what they loved and that's cool' than a 'girl power' book (which I liked). It was super good.

This collection was fantastic. I loved the art and really enjoyed the variety in the women that were chosen. Highly recommend. 4.5 stars.
Great book with bite-sized stories of some amazing women!
A bit disappointed with this one. Marketed as a graphic novel about rebel women who live their lives how they want, not how society dictates. It did deliver this but I just wasn’t a fan of how it was done. I tried to read about one story a day over a couple of months and I didn’t find myself looking forward to that part of my evening. I just felt like it was quite bland. It gives you a lot of information whilst also not really saying a lot. I’m not sure I would recommend this one, I bet there’s better versions of this kind of thing out there.
