You can tell this isn't Stieg Larsson. There are more 'jump cuts' in the narration that are slightly out of sink so you think characters are going to cross paths and then don't. Lazy and annoying. There's an entire romance from the last book that's been dropped without mention. The action has a similar feel but the characters all feel off. Their actions and voices don't quite lineup with what we've seen previously. If you ignore that, you're left with a mostly enjoyable thriller that might have a few surprises even if some are extremely predictable.
After reading the trilogy, this 4th book was a huge let down. It was too slow and I didn't recognize most of the characters (they were soooo different from the previous books). I think I would've liked it better if it was just another book. I think it doesn't belong in the Millennium family...
Can't wait to read more even though this wasn't as good as the original ones. I'm kind of disappointed actually and almost gave this two stars but since I can't say this was a bad book, let's settle for three stars. It just lacked the intensiveness and "cruelty", sort of. It was like a sugar coated version of millennium saga. Anyway, still waiting for more!

Not as good as the first few of the series, but I can’t really put my finger on why. Still great characters.
Engaging read- lots of action, interesting characters, lots of unexpected twists.
Kind of slow to get started with a lot of exposition. Book is best when Lizbeth is front and center. Riveting after the first few chapters.
Meh. I made myself finish this book because I had read too much of it. Just couldn't get into it. I couldn't keep track of all the agencies and moles and conspiracies. It didn't seem very cohesive and I'm left feeling unsatisfied with the ending even though everything tied up nicely.
I always enjoy reading books about people with intellectual super-powers, and this book is full of them. I didn't get most of the computer references, but it didn't really matter. I loved cheering for Lisbeth Salandar, super-hero, out to save the world and small children from people using their powers for evil. I'm sure there's another sequel coming, and I"ll read it.
