I really liked this adaptation, is really funny (yes, it did make laugh), and makes justice to the marvelous novel written by Jane Austen. The characters are well drown, and I really liked Mr.Darcy's appareance, as well as Mr. Bennet. I enjoyed this manga classic so much, I'm sure I'll read more of them.

I highly recommend it to every Jane Austen lover, and every body who wants to get introduced to the manga world or Austen's.

I bought this manga after having not been involved with any sort of anime or manga in years. A friend of mine was one of the editors I believe and he promoted it on his Facebook. I've always loved Pride and Prejudice as most girls do, I'm sure. Or at least the shortened version with Kiera Knightly. However, the longer versions and the novel itself tend to drag on in some places. Which is fine, because the romance makes up for it.

Anyway, I bought this so I could relive the story through another platform. I loved it, although the art is a bit dramatic, even for manga. At some points, the anatomy of the characters bodies jolts me out of the story and I chuckle at how ridiculous they look. I do not mean their eyes alone, although sometimes those get out of hand. All in all, the book is beautiful, well worth the price. I will be putting it on my book shelf next to the novel. I'm sure I will soon be flipping through it so I can envy Elizabeth's gorgeous hair. I wish I had never cut mine!

It's almost accurate! I was afraid that much of the original feel would be missing, but it captured it as well as i can assume it be done.

The art was stunning at points, and the characters were reminiscent of the original but different enough that i did not feel like i was just reading the original.

Some of the dialog was different and didnt feel like it fit but im not sure if that was translation error or bad adaption. Either way if you go into it expecting the words to be the same, it wont be lol

The manga drawings are exaggerated at times, as manga drawings are.  But otherwise, great portrayal! I have not read the original text yet, so this is a nice introduction to reading Jane Austen. The story itself played like a modern-day k-drama or rom-com where characters suddenly starts liking someone they have always disliked. Reading this in 2023, the storyline of a woman's sole purpose is to get married and marry rich sounds so archaic and objectifying.

And Mrs. Bennet is such an infuriating character, as is Lydia.

A good adaption of the story. The illustrations help with making it accessible and easy to understand. Though I wouldn't recommend it as a first experience with Pride and Prejudice and certainly not with Jane Austen. The exaggerated expressions of manga characters contrast with the more reserved manners of regency fiction. This is amusing to a fan of both but again isn't a faithful representation of the source material. It was really fun though for me because of this and I am curious to pick up more manga classics after I pick up the original.
