“The fight wasn’t won. Yet. But I’d walk away the victor. I’d win Presley Marks. She was my anchor. She was my heart.”

I was so excited for Presley’s story, but Stone Princess didn’t deliver. I liked the plot and even enjoyed most of the moments Shaw and Presley shared, but it all felt kind of forced between them, the chemistry and everything. They make a cute couple, but they couldn’t hold my heart. There was always something missing when it came to their romance; it was adorable but not swoon-worthy.

“Somewhere along the way, he’d become more than Shaw Valance. The fame had worn off. Now he was just the beautiful man in my bed who made me feel special.”

Presley seemed like such a badass in the previous two books, but after learning why she hadn’t left Jeremiah, her shitty ex-boyfriend for years, simply because she was co-dependent on him to help her break free from her past, she lost all my admiration. She was a doormat for Jeremiah but became a badass for Shaw only. Her personality was giving me whiplash in this. Shaw was sweet and really charming, with all his Hollywood charisma working in his favour, but he was very pushy. I don’t like when men don’t take no for an answer. He’s good for Presley, though, and that’s all I liked him for.

“Presley was more important. Her happiness. Her dreams. Her love. I’d fallen in love with her. I’d fallen in love with her every time she’d told me no, sitting across from her at the Clifton Forge Garage.”

The mystery doesn’t feel as intriguing as it was in the first two books. I guess the biggest mystery, finding out who the murderer was already closed in Riven Knight, so now I’m just bored because everything else about the Warriors and Tin Gypsies makes no sense to me anymore. At this point, I’m only interested in the couples and not the mystery aspect of the rest of the series. I’m excited for Emmett’s and Luke’s books and can’t wait to see how Scarlett is going to redeem herself in the next one.

Shaw Valance is in Montana to shoot his new movie a murder mystery based in Clifton Forge (the murder that was in book 1/2), the last thing he expects is for someone to catch his eye the minute he sets his sights on Presley he can't seem to stay away from her. Presley just having been stood up at the alter, has sworn off men which makes Shaw even more intrigued by her.

Their love story was really cute and I loved getting to see Presley finally get her happy ever after because she deserves it after everything she’s been through. I will say i’m not a huge fan of the movie star trope, but after the mystery at the end I am so excited for the next book in the series!

This book is a mess. A good mess.
I loved relationship between Presley and Shaw. Eventhough in the middle of the story Shaw being kinda stupid by jumping to bad conclusion, but he paid it off. He was the right and perfect man for Presley.
I hate Scarlett. And the next book is about Scarlett. I don't know if I want to read it or just directly read Leo's book. But I am curious about what the afterwards of the ending. Gah! Devney Perry left me no choice but read all her books.
