Gabby is the youngest sister in the ššš½š³š°š š¼š¾šš½šøš½š¶ šš“ššøš“š, sheās the rule follower, the seemingly āgood girlā of the three sisters. Their father is a Pastor and that affects what Gabby shows of herself to others.
I recommend reading the books in order, they are all fantastic and interconnected. I also recommend going into this book blind without spoilers.
I donāt want to spoil any of the plot surprises that took me on an emotional rollercoaster. The emotions I felt were big and the way the story had me needing to know how it was going to turn out was consuming, yet I didnāt want the story to end.
Itās a beautiful journey with characters that won my heart easily.
The author has such a knack for writing relatable characters with deft humor and emotional intelligence and depth.
Itās a coming of age story with the complications of young love.
Itās messy at times, itās painful and itās an intense journey of the heart and soul. There are some very big moments that are heart wrenching, shocking and difficult. The way the characters deal with these are soul stirring and left me so emotional. Thereās a balance of grief and joy that make the pain worth it all.
I absolutely love this story, the characters and the series. This is a must read!

Iāll be eternally sad that this series is over, or at least I think it is, because I just love it so much, Sarah and Issacās Sunday Morning is one of my fav Jewel E. Ann books which makes me love this series all that much more, and when I picked up this book with it starting with Gabby crushing hard on Matt, her sisterās ex, I was sat. Then the first shock came and honestly they didnāt stop. I was texting a friend of mine with all the shocks without spoiling anything and begging her to read the book as soon as she can cause I want to see her reactions, this book was built for buddy reading and I love that so much.
Ben has been in love with Gabby for as long as he could remember, and itās a pure and fresh love that comes from being best friends for years, but when his life is turned upside down, he ends up hurting Gabby in ways he doesnāt even understand. During this time, Gabby is also going through a lot and yet still has so much compassion and love for Ben that i think she truly encompasses a kind, preacherās daughter which is who she is at her core and it fits so well. Iām being vague as to not spoil anything so if youāre wondering what Iām alluding to at any point, go read the book haha.
I loved this book so much, itās a story about unwavering love, and overcoming obstacles and challenges you donāt see coming yet are permanent and so it requires strength and a desire and will to love to continue and those always produce the best books. I also loved seeing Gabbyās parents finally becoming more accepting of their daughterās lives. I could write a thesis on how each book perfectly shows the growth and differences in parenting styles from the oldest child to the youngest and the burdens the eldest kids have to deal with, but how it carries down in some ways to each child resulting in different personalities, fears, strengths and more. Iām done rambling now, go read this whole series!

Gabriella Jacobson is the youngest of three. Her older sisters rebelled and went against everything her parents have taught them. She's the good one--innocent, pure, and naive about the world around her. She chose a college out of state, which she was only able to do because her best friend Ben was also going there. Her reason for going into debt? Her crush, the one she believes is her destiny, goes to school there. He also happens to be her sister Sarah's ex-boyfriend. Oh boy! Gabby and Ben are the best of friends. She tells him everything. Poor guy has to listen and swallow his love for her.
"Loving Gabriella Jacobson was easy. Being her best friend? Pure torture."
When Gabby realizes just how inexperienced she is, she asks Ben to teach her how to kiss. Now she doesn't know what to do with the feelings that popped up after.
"I kissed my best friend for real, not for practice, and I liked it so much I could hardly breathe. Ben was my anchor, my protector, and my common sense when I went out of my mind."
The aftereffects of an illness sends Ben home in a state of deep depression. Even Gabby can't seem to get through to him. Through this period, Gabby starts to examine her feelings for the one person who has always stood in her corner.
Set in the 1980s, this book was not only an ode to more carefree times without cellphones and other portable electronics, but also a coming of age awakening. Like all of the author's books, it is full of a wide array of emotions that pull at your heartstrings. Sometimes I question why I continue to let her do this to me and the only answer I can come up with is that her stories evoke emotions as well as give me permission to embrace the feelings that are relatable. And really, sometimes I just need a good cry.
I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

š ššØšØš ššØšØš¤ is the third book in the Sunday Morning series by Jewel E. Ann, featuring an emotional friends to lovers, coming of age romance for Ben and Gabby set in the 1980ās. For years, Gabby has harbored an obsessive crush on her sisterās ex, Matthew, but she views her inexperience as an obstacle. Her plan? Convince her best friend, Ben, to teach her how to kiss, of course! What could possibly go wrong, especially when Ben is secretly in love with her?!
I purposely went into this book blindly, because I had a feeling that this author would continue her trend of writing a riveting story with heart-wrenching emotion and twists. How right I was!! I loved the journey of these compelling characters⦠the angst, the yearning, the unexpected dramatic surprises that threw everything into turmoil, the highlighted culture differences, the music, and the family relationships. Everything was woven together so intricately in order to create a poignant story that brought me to tears! While Ben and Gabby each had frustrating moments, they were authentic and interesting throughout. This series has been such a refreshing departure from the typical contemporary romance formula!
I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Oh the innocence of Gabriella and the unrequited love of Ben. I fell in love with this book from the beginning.
They have the sweetest best friend relationship, but Gabby is clueless as to Benās feelings for her and he will keep his feelings to himself to make her happy.
Gabriella Jacobson is the golden child and the baby of the family. Her older sisters were both disappointments to their preacher father and god-fearing mother. Gabby strived to keep her title as the good child, the good girl. Her innocence was endearing.
And Ben, sweet, protective, fun loving Ben. Gosh this young man will do anything for his Gabby, including choosing the same college she attends, keeps her laughing, making sure she is always safe and listening to her endless dreams of marrying Matthew Cory (her oldest sister Sarahās ex-boyfriend). Ben is a master at hiding his feelings for Gabby.
When tragedy strikes and Ben gives up college and goes back home, Gabby feels guilt and loss. Sheās grieving her friendship, missing her best friend and slowly realising that she has feelings for Ben. He is the one that taught her how to kiss after all and that kiss awakened something in her.
Ben and Gabbyās story was emotional, perfect, endearing. I read this throughout the night because I loved it so much. I felt the emotions in this book deep in my soul. These two really put on a show for us.
I met Matthew Cory in Sarahās book and thought he was a good guy and he is, but while he was a good guy, I felt he kind of used Gabby in some way. Thank goodness, he took his cues from her body language when she was too afraid or didnāt know how to express her feelings in words.
I couldnāt stand Olivia. I felt like while she was a good enough friend for Gabby, she also used Gabby to get to her āguy friendsā. Iām glad she didnāt get her way with Ben.
Iām sorry to see this series end. This is a series I can see myself reading again.
I gave Gabby and Ben a well deserved 5 š¦
She stretched out lazily in the lush grass, feeling the ground beneath her calmed her down, settled her racing heart. In a world where chaos abounded, she felt a peace she hadnāt felt in a long time.
A Good Book is the third book in a romance series by Jewel E. Ann. This third installment follows, Gabby and Ben. Gabby is the youngest and off to college⦠dealing with the real world and away from her religious upbringing. Ben is her best friend.
This was such a sweet story and I was glad to read Gabbyās book. I didnāt quite connect with Gabby as I did with the other sisters in the other books of this series, but I was glad to see how her story unfolded. Seeing her and Ben navigating hardships in life made me smile.

I have loved every book of this series but Gabriella Grace Jacobson's book stole my entire heart. I loved A Good Book. It was beyond amazing. I was enamored from page one. It was full to overflowing with angst, pining, unrequited love and so much more. It was a sensual masterpiece. I just loved it. I loved Gabriella and Ben and felt for them - all the ups and downs, twists, turns and heartbreak. It was a true representation of a coming of age story. I absolutely loved it and very highly recommend it as well as the previous books. This series was an ode to the 80's and I loved every minute of it. It gave me the best nostalgic feeling ever especially the song choices. It was a beautifully and masterfully crafted book and series. Do yourselves a favour and go read it.

This is the third book in the Sunday Morning series. I loved the first two books and they were my first books by this author. The beginning of the book really wasnāt enjoyable for me. Gabriella was so incredibly naive and innocent that it was painful to read. It was hard for me to accept that a nineteen year old girl in college would be so oblivious about life. As I read I tried to remind myself that she was a pastorās daughter and this book was set in a time where the internet and cable werenāt readily available to open her eyes. Yet the transformation that Gabriella goes through because of Ben and in a smaller way Matthew is amazing. At one point in this book I was crying. The angst in this book tore up my heart. This series will always remain a favorite of mine and one I will go back to read and cherish. Ben is without a doubt an amazing book boyfriend. His love for Gabriella knew no bounds, he strived to love her and be her friend through some difficult moments for himself. As always I write spoiler free reviews because I love to go into a book blind and hate to ruin books for others. Even if you havenāt read the previous books you will still love this book, but you need to read them all. This book is a tear jerker with characters who grow and evolve in every way. Itās a slow burn book. This is about an emotional connection between two people who are able to use that connection to come out of a dark place.
4.5 Another amazing book from Jewel E. Ann!
Ben and Gabby are childhood best friends headed to the same college. Gabby has been pining for her older sisterās ex boyfriend for years⦠while her best friend, Ben, has quietly been pining for her.
This was an angsty, emotional read with heartbreaking twists that brought tears to my eyes. I loved it so much. The final book in the Sunday Morning series has truly cemented this series as on of my favorite.

Wow. This whole trilogy is amazing. I wasnāt sure if I could possibly love this book as much as I did the first two since I didnāt connect much with Gabby in the others, but by the end of chapter 2, I flipped to the epilogue to make sure she ended up with the person I wanted her to be with. š I dont think Iāve ever spoiled a book for myself intentionally before, thatās how much I loved the guy. I looooved seeing Gabby find her true love and then fight for it. It was so beautiful. I donāt want to give spoilers, but I will say that I got verrrrry nervous about how a big plot point was going to be handled in the book. A things considered, I do think it was pretty realistic for the time and characters. THANK GOODNESS. Anyway, another banger of a book in this trilogy and GOD do I hope thereās more books like this series in my future because every single one could have been a single-sitting read. The Jacobson girls and their men just captivated me.
