Every time Jewel writes I just know I’M GONNA BE WRECKED. And this book… HURT ME. In the best most GUT-WRENCHING way 💔 It took me places I didn’t even know I was ready to go.

Gabriella’s growth felt so real. Watching her figure out what love actually looks like. All the raw, messy, unfiltered version... It was way too relatable. I FELT THAT.

Ben’s love is the kind that lingers. Quiet, patient, steady. The kind that stays even when it’s not chosen. And that hurt. Like, physically hurt. The way he gave Gabriella space while silently falling apart? That’s the kind of love that destroys you. AND IT DESTROYED ME!! 💔

💚 Friends to Lovers
💚 ASL Rep
💚 Handwritten Notes
💚 He Falls First
💚 Boy Obsessed

This isn’t just a love story. It’s a story about timing, sacrifice, unspoken pain, and learning how to stop hurting the people you love most.

And the notes? The moments in between? The silence that spoke louder than anything?? I’ll never be over this one. NEVER. This is the kind of story that stays with you. 😭💔

💌 Huge thanks for the ARC!

OMG!!! This book… I never saw this one coming. Wow! Gabby & Ben were such good friends. Life got in their way. They truly are some of the best characters I’ve read in a while. Gabby had her life mapped out, and Ben was caught in the crossfire. I loved their families. Even though they had very conservative views, they didn’t turn their backs on them. This one was so good! Jewel E. Ann writes the best stories!

I finished this book in one sitting and may have stayed up too late doing so, but no regrets. A Good Book is the third novel in Jewel E. Ann’s Sunday Morning series, which are all interconnected standalones following three preacher’s daughters. This book follows the youngest daughter, Gabby, and her best friend, Ben, as they start college together. This story is friends to lovers, but with so many twists thrown in. One of which is the situation with Ben. His arc was heartbreaking, but by the end I was so impressed with his character’s growth. I also loved him and Gabby together as they tried to navigate all of the challenges thrown their way in such a short amount of time. I highly recommend you check out this series!

OMG, my heart! 😭❤️

I'm a ball of emotions. Why you gotta do me like that?!

I absolutely fell in love with Ben. He was so playful and understanding of Gabby’s upbringing of being the preachers daughter because they have known each other since they were little kids.

The best-friends-to-lovers trope has NEVER been done this well.

The will-they-won't-they between Ben & Gabby had me on the edge of my seat. My heart was constantly racing with butterflies in my stomach!!

THE ICE CREAM SCENE. 🫠

Ben and Gabby's story is EVERYTHING. The heartbreak, the trials both of them face.. GAH. This is officially my favorite out of this series.

5 massive stars!

You NEED this book in your life!

Thank you @valentine and @jeweleann for the ARC!!

"Breathtaking, Gut-Wrenching, Viscerally Romantic. Its simply Magnificent"
Jewel is one the few authors who can amalgamated softness of love and grittiness of angst so well. This is a Gorgeously poignant, second-chance story, affirmation of belief in soul-mates.
She takes an abrasive approach to first love. An unbelievable triangulated childhood crush with naive emotions, first attractions and unrequited love, This. love. Hurts.

Seemingly sweet Gabriella Grace, youngest daughter of Pastor Jacobson in Devil's Head-Missouri, is from the Bible belt. Brought up with preachings and psalms, attends church regularly and preacher's last hope for a good orderly daughter after Sarah from Sunday Morning & Eve from The Apple Tree.
But she cleverly harbours a secret crush for Matthew Cory, Sarah's ex.

Doodles in Bible, drawing hearts, puppy eyes, the whole shebang. The freshness jewel manages to insert in supremely mature sentiments is a remarkable fete. I don't know how she does that. A source of constant amazement for me.
Anyhoo, since she's busy ogling Matt, who she followed to college of Michigan, but he's unaware nursing his own broken heart

“Ya think he’s looking for a girl who has never uttered a single swear word, never missed a curfew, and has an untouched vagina?”

And then there's the silent friend-zoned sufferer Benjamin Ashford.
Steady as a rock and her shoulder to cry on.
Or practice kissing
Or venting girlfriend style
Or seeking advice
He's all-in-one constant companion through thick & thin for her
I have to mention a particular profound scene here. Ben looks back and takes a mental picture of the "Crime Scene" where she unknowingly shot him down with an arrow dipped in the poison of unrequited love.
I mean major MAJOR tears flowed freely down my face and I couldn't stop them. I became Ben at that moment.

“ A synchronized rhythmic dance. A well-choreographed ballet with a symphony and Ben as the conductor.”

The story takes heart sinking deep dive midway and I fell on my knees. Cruelty thy name is author!!
I want go into the plot much, but suffice to say, it proves YET AGAIN - Jewel is one of the FINEST ROMANCE authors today. She pens thought-provoking & Devastating stories but doesn't let readers lose hope. Somehow, someway when there's no way out, she puts twists that bring the scattered story together. And that is the GENIUS PHENOMENON called Jewel E.Ann
ALL THE STARS for Happy Accidents

Ann Jewel do her thing and write another amazing book that will leave you emotionally drain.
There are a lot of tears and a lot of laughs and all the feeling in between mastering just only she knows how.

This is the story of Gabriella and Ben, set in 80s.  He is such a golden retriever!  And my heart was broken for him.
Gabriella is a preachers daughter and she's sooo judgemental! She's perfect and it looks like a bad thing.
Their story is friends to lovers and gives you all the emotional roller coaster.

With all Ann books you don't need to just read, you must feel. So I'm encouraging you to go and to feel it as there aren't much words that will help to describe it.

And yes, it was a very good story.

As usual with Jewels writing, I struggled to put the book down, I swear all her books are addicting to me!

This is Gabby's story (the youngest sister) as she's off at College and she was so naive at times but I couldn't help to giggle at some of her questions. Ben her best friend has been in love with her since childhood and as they test the waters, a life changing event happens which leaves both characters changed.

The best friends to lovers vibes along with the emotions and chemistry made for a great read which you will want to pick up!

Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion.

The final Jacobson sister book is here and it's a good one! I have to admit I wasn't so sure about it at first. Gabby was a lot. She was definitely the baby of the family who grew up in the aftermath of her sisters' mistakes/rebellions who thought she was the best of the bunch. She was immature at nineteen years old and judgmental from her upbringing. Gabby also had a HUGE years long crush on Sarah's ex-boyfriend Matt. That made me cringe a lot - especially when her best friend Ben was waiting for her to notice how he felt for her. I was so happy when the kiss they shared had her questioning things.

Ben was a great guy and friend. When he left college, I worried about him right along with Gabby. I loved Ben's moments of honesty with Gabby because she needed those as much as she needed to be there for him. I wasn't exactly expecting a couple of the things that happened, but I liked how they made both Gabby and Ben realize a lot of things and become stronger together.

As always, I loved the side characters. Eve and Sarah were there to offer Gabby some great advice. Tilly, Ben's sister, was a force and I also loved his parents. Pastor and Mrs. Jacobson even managed to surprise me. I know this is the last book for the sisters, but I would LOVE for Matt to get a book. Maybe with someone whose name starts with a J? Even if that doesn't happen, I will be satisfied with how this series ended.

Ahh the last Jacobson sister! 🥰

Gabby has been in love with her older sister’s ex-boyfriend for years. So much so that she enrolled in the same college as him with the hopes to get him to fall in love with her. Her lifelong best friend Ben joins her. When she convinces Ben to teach her how to kiss, their friendship is changed forever. Ben has been in love with her for as long as he can remember, and he’s done hiding it. Until, Ben gets sick and alters his hearing.

Ahhh so much happens in this! I thought it was the perfect end to the Jacobson sisters series. Gabby, who we always thought was the goody two shoes of the group, really comes into her own. Ben is struggling with his disability and allowing Gabby to love him while also navigating his crushed dreams. I laughed and cried for sure!!!
