Please do yourself a favour and give this book a chance 🥰I’ll be honest at first I wanted to give up because it felt “childish “ but it’s a journey and my mamma didn’t raise me to quit and I was richly rewarded 🥰

Gabby has been in love with Matthew since he was dating her sister , but Sarah broke up with him for his brother 🙈anyhoo Gabby still held a candle for him and her bestie Ben has had to hear about him most of their life , poor guy and he’s always held a candle for her but he missed out when she told him and said he was interested in someone else but that’s all old news …..
Gabby takes out student loans to be at the same college Matthew is at and when it finally looks like he’s showing interest the lines between her and Ben are blurry but tragedy strikes when Ben gets meningitis and looses his hearing 😢as a musician it feels like his world is coming to an end ..,,
Then the story takes life and I’m hooked and my Kleenex supply is under serious threat what transpires between Ben and Gabby has me in pieces and I’m seriously ugly crying …..I’m reading it as a mom but also from the point of view of these 2 beautiful people 🥰
This is a book about redemption , forgiveness , life lessons , family , mistakes , grace , healing , love and so much more and every page was such a treat 🥰📕

Okay this is a Young adult read throw in religion a virgin the 80s and bestfriends with feelings and some emotional angst and heartache and blend this is what a Good book is about. Gabby bless her heart but she's emotional stunted and a little bit of a hypocrite her faith is very emportant to her but it's made her judge others in her past well guess what she's about to walk in there shoes with all those messy emotions yearning for what you think you want when what you really need is write in front of your face but she's 19 and away from home for the first time chasing I might add her sisters ex Matt and her real match although not perfect Ben is her bestfriend who has loved her but chosen the rout of friends because she can't see them as more. Ben typical guy been around the block but still wants Gabby knowing she's hung up on dream boy then it happens Gabby gets what she wants most but freaks because she has know experience in anything even kissing so who dose she go to for that experience the worldly Ben one kiss some intense moments and suddenly it's all over and Matt is and opportunist if ever there was one and Gabby is confused is it Matt or Ben well some over the top letters and drama in Ben's life lead to some heavy emotional and ugly words so can Ben and Gabby find there way back to each other yes is it easy no did Ben beg enough not sure did Gabby finally grow up yes. This is a good read a little over the top at times but we've all been young once and this book brings all the emotional drama of early teenage years.

Friends-to-lovers is almost always angsty and heart wrenching in the best way. There’s so much more to this love story than just childhood best friends who turned into lovers. The timing was never right and honestly, the time STILL wasn’t right, but the love between Ben and Gabby is so strong. I have really enjoyed this series and I’m sad this was the last one. I loved seeing Gabby lean on her sisters while struggling to understand her own emotions. Ben is so…complicated. But the good kind of complicated? He truly wants what’s best for Gabby and the end of the day and for a while he really struggles to let her in. Just well written and an emotional roller coaster!
