The book delivers as usual. Sure there is the usual type of humor and issues, and the series is almost a cookie cutter.
But I still laugh at loud at moments.

July 18: I could not get into this book. I knew it would be a repeat of the other books, and I usually don't care when I'm looking for a mindless read. I may go back to this at a later date, but for now, its going back to the library. Its due tomorrow and I'm only on page 40 or so.
November 26: Why? Just why did I do this to myself?

I always enjoy Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Some are better than others and this one has some fun added wackiness. The pack of feral Chihuahuas and Grandma Mazur's bucket list are two reasons to put this one on your to-read list.
adventurous
funny
medium-paced
Stephanie is at it again. Trying to catch some bad guys while keeping herself out of trouble isn't easy. Who will win: the minions, the one eyed Russian, the rocket thrower, or Stephanie?
I've loved Stephanie Plum enough to keep reading this far but I got 2 chapters in and stopped reading. It was boring and the same as the last few. I don't consider "It was hot. It was humid. It was August." to be exceptional or even interesting. Sorry Evanovich, it's time to move on.
Well, I think that's enough of Stephanie Plum and her remarkably repetitive life. It's been fun (and then tedious).
I am pretty over these books and wasn't going to read anymore but then they tempted me with promises of Ranger's past. Remember book 12 with Ranger's daughter - that was awesome. I totally love the mysterious Ranger and was excited to find out more about him. They TRICKED ME!!! We don't spend any time finding out anything new about Ranger. The part about his past is that some guy he tangled with once in his previous special forces career wants revenge. Only bright spot is that means we actually get some storyline with Ranger in it.
This one is back to the form I used to love. Lots of laughs.
