As I've mentioned on other reviews the Stephanie Plum books seem to be pretty formulaic (at least up here in the 20s they are). Even to the point that the same things are described almost the same way (but not quite!). It feels a bit like when you are trying to write a paper and don't want to be accused of plagiarism but also don't want to have to cite sources.
That said Lorelei King makes the audiobooks amazing, hence the 3 stars.

When you pick up a Stephanie Plum book you know what to expect. A lot of reviewers complain about this but not me-- it is the reason that I read them. They are light and funny and a good read in between serious or darker books. They may not be great literature but they sure are a guilty pleasure.
Standard Evanovich with the checklist of items you expect in a Plum novel. I like the characters and I like not having to think too hard while I escape so it was nice to do that again with this one.
A bit better than same ol', since Stephanie has a chance to foil a terrorist, and we get more glimpses of Ranger's past and present. The rest is same ol', but I've come to accept it. Sometimes you just need something mindless and familiar.

If it's been a while since you read a Stephanie Plum novel, this one is worth picking up. Otherwise, it's not different enough from the last 3 or 4 to be worth it.
Same old, same old.
I just wanted a light read and this suited best for me.

I absolutely love Janet Evanovich's humor and ability to keep me laughing even when the same stuff keeps happening over and over. What I am getting a little frustrated over is this triangle between Stephanie, Ranger, and Morelli. Don't get me wrong, I love a series with tension and asking the "Will they, won't they?" question, but we're at book 21 and still no progression one way or another.
