It's been a hot minute since I've listened to a Stephanie Plum book...so I figured it was time so I can maybe catch up by the time the new book is released.
This one was real solid. I love love love Morelli...as always. The case was so interesting and I'm all for Steph undercover. Also all the explosions. ALL THE EXPLOSIONS. Loved it.

More like 3.5* This was fast paced and enjoyable. Some parts were laugh out loud funny. Lula and Grandma together always entertaining. This plot was a little more complicated than some of the others. I cannot believe Rangeman was contaminated! Grandma's reaction to seeing Ranger naked was amazing; and Ranger's response after the fact was even better. I adore these books and while I have been very ready for Stephanie to just pick already, the back and forth did not bother me this time. Always enjoyable.
I never get tired of these books! But Stephanie!!! So many missed Ranger opportunities ;)
Standard Stephanie Plum novel. No surprises, but entertaining as a poolside read.
I have been disappointed with the last few Stephanie Plum books. This new one was a nice change. Stephanie finds herself stuck with 3' acquaintance Randy Briggs when someone fire bombs his apartment. Stephanie uses him as bait to try to catch his boss Jimmy Pollenti who has jumped bail. That results in her apartment and Ranger's car being firebombed too. In a side adventure, someone really bad is out to get Ranger and leaks radioactive material inside his business. Of course, Stephanie steps up to help him catch the bad guy. Good side humor with Lula and Grandma Mazur.
Realized that nothing is ever going to change and the characters are never going to show real growth so I'm done with the series.
Still funny, same ol' same ol'. The never ending series with characters who don't age and don't make decision about settling. Stephanie is never going to choose between Morelli or Ranger which is too bad since a Stephanie Plum Wedding could be one of her best stories and capers ever. Some good laughs in this one. Grandma Mazur always gets a good laugh. I hope she never dies.
This wasn't anything profound but purely pressure reading. I can always count on Stephanie Plum books to help me just relax and enjoy!
