Emotionally driven and filled with action. I could not put this book down. 

Beautifully written, haunting and at times difficult to read - but so essential. I cannot wait for the sequel.

I liked that this book had diverse characters and found family and treated friendship with more weight than the romance. I felt that the “foreshadowing” was heavy handed and with the main character’s inner monologue, the twist was visible from miles away. I really think the concept was good but the execution needed some work.

This book is a favorite of the year (2022) because oh my god! The writing was amazing, the plot was fantastic and kept me engaged, the characters were amazing. I loved seeing the friendships form and those plot twists at the end had me on the edge of my seat. I loved it so much that I pre-ordered the 2nd one when I was half way through.
