HARDBACK- Husband dies in a wreck, wife thinks he was murdered. Investigates on her own. Lots of suspects, no big twist, well written

I wanted to like this book, I really did, but it fell short for me. I love books with multiple POVs, so I did like that aspect and the dual timelines. I absolutely love Mary Kubica, however this was not up to the same level as her other books.

The ending didn’t really wrap up for me and characters were brought in that didn’t really have any follow up. I had a lot of questions once the book ended so I really couldn’t rate this high.

Have you had books that have potential to be great and then fall short?

This was an interesting story - well written, a storyline that keeps you guessing, and characters that you like and dislike at the same time. I loved this author's book, The Good Girl. and was expecting an explosive reveal at the end like The Good Girl, but it didn't happen, at least not for me.
