This book hit so close to home and I loved it. The reason I took so long to read this was because I was having the worst 2 months of 2019, and I couldn’t focus on anything let alone reading a book. In the book the main character exactly says that she’s so sad she can’t even focus on reading, and oh my god, having a book/movie/game whatever that you can relate so much to really helps during those times. So thank you so much Alice for writing this book, it honestly made it a bit easier to deal with the pain. This was my first Alice Oseman read and I already bought all her other books. ❤️

I saw a review that said something like "Clearly written by someone in university, in a good way" and that feels right.
I think I would have loved this as a teenager. I loved the LGBTQIA+ representation, the focus on platonic love and friendship, and how well the awkwardness and confusion of being a teenager was depicted.
The plot was also good, though predictable at times.Like, it seemed obvious from the start that February Friday was Carys and the podcast was a cry for help. But I can't fault YA for being YA.

I must say that my review is also a review of the Hebrew translation of this book - which is horrendous - so I think I may have liked this book more if I read it in English.
I just kinda, didn't care too much about the story? There were some really cool parts but I just didn't LOVE the book. It was cool. I liked seeing Nick and Charlie for like a second. I also liked ריין (I apologize but I don't know how to spell her name in English). She's great and I love her character so much.
I also love the main character's mom. She's the best character, for sure. She should be the president. Not specially of Britian. Just, the president. Who's the president of * blank *? Her.

Very good. I have just not been feeling contemporary literature since it just makes me anxious (as in fictional people's problems get to me way much).
What I love about this book the most is the message that you shouldn't do something just because other people want you to, or if society sees it as the best thing to do. Don't go to university if there's nothing that interests you. Make a living with something you like doing. If you can't get money doing what you love, find the perfect balance of moneymaking and enjoying life because enjoying life makes life worth living.
