Ahhhhhhh! This book just gave me all the feels, joy, such sadness, hope, admiration, all of it.
It had a slow start for me, but it is so worth it once you get into it. These characters and their problems are so real, I just can’t help but relate to them. Or root for them! I hope these characters experience nothing but happiness moving forward.

one of my students wrote a review of this book and i loved it so much she lent it to me 😭 it’s my first time reading something by alice oseman and i really enjoyed it! i’m 28 and i know that i’m not the main target of this story but i still related to it and i think it would have helped me so much if i had read it when i was a teenager. can’t wait to borrow another one lol

Radio Silence.

Alle referansene var spot on.

Honestly, I am so stupid for putting this off as long as I did. I absolutely love this book and is hands down my favourite by Alice Oseman. The characters, plot and the way she tells the story of Frances and Aled just kept me turning page after page to the point where I didn't and couldn't put it down. I felt things with this book and would 100% recommend to anyone who wants to read a story about people taking charge of their own life and finding happiness even when things seem impossible.

“she was taking everything aled had and burning it. she was burning him, slowly, until he died”

“radio’s trapped in universe city. and someone’s finally heard him. someone is going to rescue him” “art reflects life, or…maybe it’s the other way round”

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

“Hello. I hope somebody is listening…” is how every YouTube episode of University City starts, Frances’ favourite thing.

The platonic (trust me, they DO NOT fall in love) relationship between Aled and Frances just pulled at my heartstrings because it was just so wholesome and not once did they even remotely think they had a thing for one another.

Each chapter “title” is something that is later said in the chapter and that’s just not something I’m really a big fan of. Besides that, it’s well written and an overall decent read.

The book is a lot more underwhelming than I thought it would be. There are some relatable themes in the book, I.E Frances having a hard time making friends and hiding her true self at school. Been there, done that.

Now don’t get me wrong, Oseman did an amazing job and describing teenagers, right down to fandoms and I love that. But this book just wasn’t up my alley. It was a slow paced book and nothing too too exciting happened through 70% of the book.

I really wanted to like this book, and I don’t hate it. I just, unfortunately, don’t love it. It wasn’t at all cliche which is great because there were some points that I thought I would know what was going to happen, but it didn’t take that direction at all. I appreciated that.

If you want a slow paced read with fairly relatable characters, then this is the book for you!
