3 So nostalgic for me as someone who was a tween during 2014 tumblr days!

hello. i hope somebody is listening cuz i finally managed to finish this through my reading slump.
the first half was too slow-paced for me but the second half got me feeling all kinds of emotions. good rep, relatable characters and overall a good read.
I'd also like to announce my fav character is definitely Frances' mom. that woman is too precious.

a tasteful, refreshing read. i was totally in this ride with the characters and loving it, but the commentary on the educational system and the social pressure to persue a higher education was not satisfyingly handled and, i date say, somewhat tonedeaf, including the almost one-dimensional-easy-way the mother was portrayed. their relationships, however, together with the journey of finding oneself within one's reality and the development of these friendships make this a good experience.

”Hello. I hope somebody is listening…”

I think this is a really important book for today's teenagers and their parents and teachers to read, about the pressures of the conveyer belt of an irrelevant education and how to get off it. Told really well, very current and relatable, and with realistic and complicated friendships and diverse characters.

Would recommend.
