It was so difficult to read! I love James Acaster and his humour, but this didn’t feel authentic to him 🥲 I tried to keep going because I love him so much but I couldn’t. Sorry!
Maybe a bit TOO silly at times. Nonetheless, I am in awe of this man's brain
Some very funny moments, but ultimately it should have been a 1 hour podcast not a 6 hour audiobook. Too many jokes fall flat or get dragged out longer than is funny and it lacks the satisfying payoff of his standup. Entertaining enough to listen while exercising or gaming but simply lacks the spark that makes his standup and podcasts work.

Quite disappointing, I expected something closer to James Acaster's Classic Scrapes; how his actual journey to quitting social media was. What I got was a very very long joke that was actually quite funny for maybe the first 30-50 pages but after that it just felt boring and annoying. Would have been nice as a 5 minute stand-up routine but not a 200 page book

This book is definitely for fans of James Acaster.
It’s one long joke that satirizes the accepted norms of social media.
The audiobook is 100% the best way to consume this, as I think James’s delivery is such a huge part of his comedy.
