I wanted to like this book. After all, can't we all relate to things that are off limits?! But honestly, I found the book obnoxious and I swear, the one reason I think it was nominated for a CLEL award was because it has "writing" supplies.

Why is it that office supplies are so appealing to youngsters? I used to love to play "office" as a child - using carbon paper was the best!
A young girl gets into her father's office and jazzes up the space with tape, clips, and post-it notes. Lots of post-it notes. Great surprise at the end.

An adorable representation of at-home life, especially relevant as work-from-home continues through the pandemic. The young protagonist begins with just a minor transgression, then the invasion of daddy's office gets wilder and ever more jubilant until... she abruptly remembers that she shouldn't be in there. But daddy needed a break too, and I think for anyone who has been shut-in to any degree, his chosen method has a lot of merit.
The illustrations reflect the joy and abandon of the story, and the pacing is on point.
I love the dynamic between dad and daughter.
