Love this book! Superbly written. Draws you in from the first page. Great insight into depression and mental illness. If you've ever been a young woman, you can really relate to many of the themes covered, and even though I was brought up in a very different time, I can totally relate.

I find it so oddly fitting that I started and finished this solemn but beautifully written tale on a date numbered 13.

Anyway, this read has been a long time coming and I’m honestly glad it took me till now to get to it. I really needed this story at this point in my life—I too feel like I’ve been living in a bell jar for quite some time, and it made me feel less alone reading about Esther Greenwood’s (and it seems, Sylvia Plath herself’s) similar struggles with it.

I plan on reading this again one day…but I definitely need a lot of time and a couple of happier books in between before hand lol.
