Even if I hadn’t known Plath to be a poet before i picked this up, I would have quickly learned from the lyrical way she tells her own story. Discusses what it meant to be a woman with chronic depression in the 1960s.

Surpreendente 

O livro fala de como a protagonista Esther precisa lidar com sua saúde mental em meio as incertezas do início de sua vida adulta.
 O livro inicia leve e vai levando o leitor devagar para como Esther se sente e como sua saúde mental vai mudando.
 Tudo escrito de forma verdadeira e delicada, é um bom livro, mas que contém muitos gatilhos.
