Falling for Gage

Loved being able to be back in the world of Pelion Lake for this book. This book had a perfect mix of romance, humor and mystery. I really connected with Rory and her hunt to find answers about her parents or their love story. The chemistry was undeniable from the beginning when stage and story meet. The audio narration is done by Maeve York and Benjamin Sands. Their voices complemented each other and they both did a great job bringing Rory and Gage to life. This is the third book following different characters in Pelion Lake universe. Each is a stand alone but I highly recommend Archer’s voice to give you a bit of insight to the characters and that story is just timeless and fantastic! Mia Sheridan is such a beautiful writer in telling heartfelt romance stories. Many thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the digital review copy of this novel. * “I don’t want a life without you, Rory. I don’t want to exist without the passion you bring into every moment of every day.”

When I read about Gage in Archer's book, then later on in Travis's book I knew that Gage was someone I was interested in. I wanted to know his story. Time passed and I forgot about him …. Well that was until Mia herself announced his book. I was so happy My dear followers, I was in a word… hype. I was so hyped for it and when it was out I got my copy so fast my husband didn’t see it coming.

This idea was too good to be true. It took me ages to finish this book as I find myself bored to death ☠️… Gage is boring, not only boring but like he doesn’t bring anything to the table. He was super perfect, super hot that in his own words “ is good a everything even if he hates it “I truly believe that if he didn’t like it he wouldn’t be as good as he was because it was in fact no passion. Because when you love something it shows.

In other news, Rory the girl, was so plain and the whole fact that are we related or not. But we had sex anyway. It was so annoying. We have to wait so long to find out if they weren’t related and turns out she is related to our favourite people In this whole town.

Archer and Travis's apparitions are what I love in this book. I didn’t know how much I miss my Archer till I read this book

Audiobook Review:

3.5⭐️

I don’t really understand why I had a hard time getting into this one in the beginning, but I’m glad I pushed through. This was not the heartbreakingly beautiful experience I’ve learned to expect from Mia Sheridan. It was actually very light. I can’t help but feel slightly underwhelmed.

Gave comes from a life of privilege and expectations. His life is mapped out for him and he doesn’t take chances until he meets Rory in a bar in a little town when his car breaks down. They have a one night stand and expect to never see each other again despite both of them feeling a strong draw to the other.

Rory’s mom died when she was young and she never learned who her dad was. She decides to follow a lead on an artist in a town 3 hours away. That town happens to be the hometown of Gage.

They are still drawn to each other, but there’s a chance they’re siblings so they have to keep their feelings under wraps. There’s a kind of adventure that goes on as they hunt for Rory’s dad’s paintings and find her mom’s diary pages behind each painting.

Rory learns who she is and where she came from and Gage has to learn that his dreams are worth going after.

The spice is good! I didn’t like the male narrator for gage for some reason. He just didn’t fit this Adonis of a man in my head.

Adored this one. Definitely a slow burn. The chemistry was off the charts.  I loved the small town and wrong side of the tracks/different world trope. And the little mystery element of them trying to find Rory’s dad just added a little something extra and fun to their story!

I really liked the whole concept. Figuring out familiar pressure is huge. Had some funny quirky parts too.

4.5
This was my first Mia Sheridan read and I really enjoyed it. Rory and Gage were a perfect match in an imperfect setting. They had some obstacles to each overcome and I enjoyed the 'mystery' along the way.
I especially loved Rory's life with her brothers, Cake's and Ale (the bar/restaurant she worked at) and the path she takes to discover her lineage and herself. The people she met along the way were great side characters that I wish she had a little more time to deeply connect with. Characters from other books made appearances which was fun, even though I had never read them.

This made me really want to read Archer's Voice and dive into the whole world of Mia Sheridan.
