2.8 stars. It was fine? I don’t think it’s anywhere near as good as Archer’s Voice or even Travis. To be fair I read the whole thing on the plane so maybe not the best environment but I still found the story to be just fine and kinda predictable. It was still nice to be back in Pelion though.

I read the three books in this series over the course of the last month via mixed media (📖🎧). While not technically a series because you can read them as standalones, I feel the best way to take in the stories of these characters is to take the whole journey and read them in order. BUT you can read them separately and you would not feel as if you were missing anything.

And we finish off with Gage Buchanan. I did partial audio and partial reading with my eyes for this one and I will say, I enjoyed it more once I switched over to physically reading. Gage is a side character in the first two novels and the telling of his story brings us many cameos from the past characters which I loved. There was an element of Gage’s story involving marriage of convenience that just felt fully unnecessary and distracting. That being said, I still really enjoyed the overall story. Rory’s (FMC) backstory brings back more of the emotion and deeper storytelling that we saw in Archer’s Voice, which I was happy to see and elevated this one for me.
