I think this is the only instance where I think reading the City of Bones series would've benefited this author. Because what do you mean you had a "they could be siblings" storyline and thought that was an okay thing to write about and publish in a book. Does this author know about Cassandra Clare? Does she know the parabatai lore? Please Mia tell me if you've read the "My sister, my blood, my family. I should want to protect you" line and just assumed that everyone thought this was a good scene and not the weirdest thing you've ever read. That's the main thing that dragged this book down for me personally. Stop! With! The! Sibling! Fake-outs! I've had enough!
The couple was cute, I liked Rory and Gage had his moments. I think I mainly just liked the Hale moments because I was like "hey I know those guys. I read about them" Other than that I think the B plot about her finding her father just seemed a little weird at some points, like why did she chose to pretend to be someone when she could've just like asked around. Like why did you have to lie girlie.
I don't know, I think that little things fell flat for me, but overall it was a pretty okay read.

I appreciated the mystery and romance that was in the book. I don’t love how much the author emphasized the half sibling possibility and the ending felt very rushed.

Gage and Rory have a one night stand, thinking they'll never see each other again. Gage has always lived by the rules, but when Rory shows up in his hometown as an art appraiser. Gage is trying to figure out her angle. Rory is there looking for her long last father, and the only clues she has are her late mother's journal and a drawing.
This is my first book by Mia Sheridan, and boy, oh boy, definitely will not be my last. Falling for Gage is a standalone, but you might get a better read if you read Archer's Voice and Travis's book before this one. Since they are mentioned in this book. This book is a very heartfelt, warm, cozy read. A great palette cleaner. It did have some slow pace part, but overall, it was a good read.
The narrators Maeve York and Benjamin Sands did a great job bringing these characters to life!
