I like A Song of Ice and Fire. I did not like this. I can live with unhappy endings. But the only character that was developed was Adara, and she just wasn't likeable enough for me to buy the sacrifice she made. Also, for someone who was clearly meant to have some sort of connection to the ice dragon, she didn't seem too moved by its own sacrifice.

A nice, inconsequential little tale, though it's a strange children's story that features graphic descriptions of men wounded at war and burned by dragons. The back of the book states this story takes place in the A Song of Ice and Fire universe, and it shares many of those elements and themes, but finding an actual connection will probably cause you headaches (unless Geoff is Benjen or something). +1 star for great illustrations

Tütarlaps Adara sünnib kõige jäisemal talvepäeval, mida iidsetest aegadest saadik on kogetud.

Hoolimata väga väikesest sõnade arvust, on tähendus loo taga suur.

Spoilermisunderstood kid in the end is the one who saves family. You’ve read it before.
But I did like the descriptive writing, and for a short story the family dynamics were pretty well fleshed out.
