What a phenomenal conclusion to the Midnight Breed. I could not put it done. I was beyond amazing. The breed were up against a wall. The clock was ticking. All seemed lost. My mind was blown.

The final book is loaded with action, tragedy and the unexpected. Resolution has been a long time coming. What it takes will have you on the edge of your seat, holding your breath and hoping for the best.

12/16/22 I just finished a binge listen to the Midnight Breed. Still speechless about the ending. The author deserves a standing ovation.

Great ending to the series. Ain't going to lie this book had me in tears on several occasions. With it being the last one I went through a roller coaster of emotions with Lucan. He was where it all started and I didn't want to accept that he might die. Glad it worked out in the end with a happy ending. Great job Lara Adrian.

it was…a book.

it was a little too action packed for my tastes but i guess one has to end a 20 year series with a bang. i didn’t love the main pairing in this, largely because i hated selene. i didn’t love the ending which felt kind of cheap after the emotional roller coaster of a major character being sidelined for much of the story. and i didn’t love how neatly the ancient plot line was wrapped up after the previous book’s hyperfocus on it. too many new threads introduced and wrapped up in one book for it to be a satisfying conclusion. BUT i’ve been rocking with lara for at least a decade now so it’s a bittersweet moment wrapped up in a lot of nostalgia.

The end of the series and this book didn't disappoint. The Order are still fighting their many enemies, but maybe they don't all need to be enemies. Darion steps into the roll of leader and proves that he is just as capable as his dad. There is lots of action with the Order, the rogues, the Ancient, and the Atlanians, leading to a great ending.

Emotional rollercoaster. This book had me crying, laughing, biting my nails... All in one reading, because I just couldn't put it down. A really good ending to the series. Totally worth the all-nighter
